Writing Real Songs For Real Listeners

Music has always been a way to express myself. I started songwriting when I was about 12 years old.
Since then I've been writing, recording and performing . I want to thank all my fans because they are what makes all the effort worthwhile, and my wife Denise for putting  up with me through all the ups and downs.

In September 2006 I decided to really step out on a limb and I made the move to Tennessee. Ive always wanted to be a songwriter and now I am right where I need to be to learn from the best and I am determined to learn all I need to know to make it in this business. Im just a country boy with who loves to write and sing.

My major influences are my father Bill Flanery, Merle Haggard, the early Garth Brooks, Chet Atkins, Trace Adkins and George Strait. There are several others but these few have had the most influence on me. My father especially, although he is no longer here to listen to me.
.

I am a member of the following organizations.

  1. BMI (songwriter)
  2. Nashville Songwriters Association
  3. North Texas Songwriters Association

I would like to give a special thanks to a few people who really have helped

All my family, they had to listen to me when I first started.

My best friend Jimmie Grokett, the greatest friend a person could ever have.

My fellow musicians, without the people I have played music with I wouldn't know near as much about music as I do today.

My son and daughter (Dustin & Sabrina) they listen to everything I write even though I know thats really not the kind of music they are into at the moment.

Thank You All
